A waitlist is about the simplest thing a product can have: an email field, a button, and a list you can download later. Yet most tools built for it charge a monthly fee before anyone has paid you anything. We looked at what twenty of them cost at two sizes, 1,000 and 10,000 sign-ups, and put our own waitlist on b59.link next to them, along with what it can't do.
All prices are in US dollars, monthly billing, from each vendor's own pricing page on 2026-10-23. Yearly billing is cheaper with most of them.
Dedicated waitlist tools
These are built for pre-launch lists, and most of them are really referral tools: each sign-up gets a link, sharing moves them up the queue, and there is a leaderboard. That is mostly what you pay for.
Two things changed recently. GetWaitlist closed its free plan to new accounts: the site says free access is only for accounts made before June 12, 2025, so new users get a 7-day trial of Basic at $15 a month. Its price doesn't change with the size of the list, which makes it the cheapest paid option here. LaunchList prices by list size but holds $19 from 2,000 up to 10,000 contacts on its Collect plan; removing its branding (Launch) is $59 at 10,000.
The referral platforms get expensive quickly. Viral Loops is $49 at 1,000 participants and $229 at 10,000. ReferralHero starts at $249 for 1,000 subscribers. If a referral race isn't part of your launch plan, that is a lot of money for a form.
Form and email tools people use instead
Plenty of founders skip the waitlist tools and use a form builder or the free tier of an email service. Some of these are free at 10,000, with catches:
Tally and Google Forms are free at both sizes, but they are forms: there is no position number, and the embed is an iframe or a popup in their style. Kit is free up to 10,000 subscribers with Kit branding, which is generous if you also want to email the list later. Loops stores any number of contacts for free but only emails the first 1,000. Formspree and Typeform count submissions per month, so a busy launch week can push you a tier up.
Four months before launch, added up
Monthly prices hide how the bill grows with the list. Here is one pre-launch run of four months, ending at 10,000 people:
With a tool that charges by list size you pay for the peak every month after it; with one that counts new sign-ups per month (KickoffLabs) the busy months cost more. A flat price like GetWaitlist's is the easiest to plan for. b59.link stays at zero.
What you get on b59.link/wl
Our waitlist is a list plus a sign-up panel. You create the list at b59.link/wl, copy two lines of HTML (or a small React component) and paste them where the form should go. There is no iframe: the script draws the form in your page and posts each sign-up to your list.

Each person who joins sees their place: "You're #N on the waitlist." Joining twice with the same address doesn't create a second entry. The Entries tab lists everyone with the date and where they came from, and Export CSV gives you the whole list at any time. When you launch, you can email the list from the b59.link newsletter tool.

An account gets 10,000 data-collecting requests a month (sign-ups and people you add by hand both count), so the 10,000 column above is a whole month's allowance arriving at once. Past that, the form says it has used its requests for the month until the next month starts.
What it doesn't do
There is no referral link, no leaderboard and no "share to move up" queue. The panel shows a small "Powered by b59.link" line. There is no hosted landing page either: the form goes on a page you already have. If moving people up the list for referrals is the core of your launch, GetWaitlist at $15 or LaunchList's free 100 contacts are where we would start. If you just want the addresses, with a position number and a CSV, you don't need to pay for it.
Make a waitlist, paste the snippet on your page and watch the list fill up. Export it whenever you like.
