QR codes that never expire.
No trial. No ad page before your link. No subscription, ever.
A bakery prints 200 flyers with a “free” QR code. Eight days later the generator’s trial ends and every flyer opens a page asking for a monthly plan. Reviews of QR generators are full of stories like that. Codes made here don’t do that.
Why printed codes die
Most “free” generators make a dynamic code by default. The squares don’t hold your address; they hold the generator’s own short link, which forwards to you while your account is in good standing. When the trial runs out, the forwarding stops or turns into a sales page. Your menu still looks fine. It just doesn’t go anywhere.
Link shorteners have the same problem in a quieter form: free plans shrink, and some now show an ad page before the redirect. You printed the code once. The terms can change every year.
Plain code
Best for menus, packaging, signs, anything meant to last.
- Your link is inside the squares. Scanning it never touches our server, or anyone else’s.
- Works for as long as the page it points to exists.
- No account. PNG or SVG, your colours, any size up to 1200 px.
- Also does Wi-Fi, email, phone and SMS codes.
Tracked code
Best when you want to know how many people scanned it.
- Points at a b59.link short link that sends people straight on (an ordinary 302 redirect).
- Free scan counts with the country and city of each scan, on a public stats page.
- No expiry date, no ad page, no upgrade screen in between.
- Sign in when you make it and you can change where it goes later.
What we promise, in writing
- No subscription and no automatic charge. That rule covers every Biz59 site.
- No trial clock. Nothing about a code changes after 7, 14 or 30 days.
- No ad or “upgrade” page in front of your link, now or later.
- We never change where your code goes. Only the owner of a tracked link can.
The honest limit: a tracked code needs b59.link to forward it. If you’re printing something that has to outlive any company, ours included, and you don’t need scan counts, choose a plain code. It doesn’t depend on us at all.
Check a code before you print 500 of them
- Scan the proof with your phone camera, but don’t tap yet. Read the address it shows.
- If it’s your own domain (or your Wi-Fi details, phone number and so on), it’s a plain code. It will keep working.
- If it’s the generator’s domain, that company controls what happens when someone scans it. Look up what their free plan does after the trial before you print.
- Print a test sheet at the real size and scan it from a metre away in poor light. Small codes with long links fail first; a short link or the “High” error correction setting helps.
Questions people ask
Will my QR code stop working after a trial?+
No. There is no trial on b59.link. A plain code has your link inside it and never talks to our server. A tracked code points at a b59.link short link, and short links have no expiry date in our system.
Is there a page or an ad before my link opens?+
No. A tracked code sends people straight on with an ordinary redirect (HTTP 302). Nothing is shown in between, and we don't add an upgrade page later.
Do I need an account?+
Not for plain codes, and not for a tracked code either. Sign in when you make a tracked code if you want to change its destination later: only the account that owns a link can edit it.
What does it cost?+
Nothing. b59.link has no subscriptions and never charges a card automatically. That's a rule across every Biz59 site, not a launch offer.
What if b59.link went away?+
Plain codes would keep working, because they don't touch our server at all. Tracked codes need b59.link to forward them. If you're printing something that has to last for years and you don't need scan counts, use a plain code.
Can I check a code I already printed?+
Point your phone camera at it and read the address it shows before you tap. If it's a domain you don't own (a generator's redirect domain), that company decides what happens when someone scans it.
Make a code you won’t have to reprint.
