Add-to-calendar links for your event
Fill in the event once and get a Google Calendar link, Outlook links for personal and work accounts, and an .ics file for Apple Calendar and everything else. Time zones, all-day end dates and the clock changes in March and autumn are handled for you.
For a corrected .ics file
- The clocks changed here within the week before. If your audience is in other countries, print the time zone on the poster.

Buttons for your event page
Upload spring-pruning-workshop-2027-03-20.ics next to the page (your web server should send it as text/calendar), then paste these three links. Android users pick Google; iPhone and Mac users pick the .ics file.

On a poster or flyer
Don't put the event itself in the QR code: phones disagree on what to do with it, and a wrong date is printed forever. Put the three buttons on a small event page, then point a short link at the page and make the QR code from the short link. If the event moves, change the page and the short link; the posters stay right.
What the links do. Google gets the local times and the time zone name, so the event lands at the right hour wherever the phone is. Outlook and the .ics file get the times in UTC. All-day events end the day after the last day, as every calendar expects. People who already added the event keep their copy; a corrected .ics file with the same UID and a higher version often updates it in Apple Calendar and Outlook, but nothing updates a copy made from the Google link.
Microsoft doesn't document the Outlook links and has changed them before, so press Try it on each one before you print. The reasons behind every rule are in add-to-calendar links and QR codes for an event.
